70’s Flow in Print

What better way than to have a photoshoot during the only time Florida gets extremely windy and cold. Out of all the photoshoots I have done, this one especially was for sure quite the experience.

My wonderful makeup artist friend (shoutout to Anjelica Marie) got me connected with this sweet photographer. Photos by Anette, normally a headshot photographer, was looking to branch out into Fashion Photography. Both Anette and Anjelica were looking for a stylist that could allow them to collaborate ideas and get a better look at how fashion really works. We partnered with a hair stylist (shoutout to Ninoshka Rosado) and that was our team! After discussing various editorial ideas, we settled on of course, The 70s. One of the most iconic eras in fashion. Still heavily influenced today. I mean come on now, even Marie Claire posted an article with the title “Here’s proof the 70s really were the best fashion decade.” Now, with every photoshoot comes flexibility. As a stylist, I could only abide by the mood board of the shoot the best I can with the resources I have. Therefore, half of the outfits from this shoot were actually from the 60s as well! The only two authentic 70s pieces were the Yellow Kaftan and the 70s Mad Whirl Cotton Bib Maxi. Every other garment was authentic from the 60s. Overall, all the pieces still inherited a 70s feel, at least for me!
