When your design from last year’s Trash 2 Trends Fashion Show makes the cover for the 2022 Trash 2 Trends Application…What can I say?! I feel overwhelmed at this point, lol.

There’s a funny story the way that I found out my design was on the cover. As most of you who know me know I manage over at The Lovely Boutique Market. I was working a Monday shift, normally we work on the boutique’s website inventory that day. Anyways, my boss (shoutout to Kim Hellstrom, radical lady) was talking with one of the representatives from The City of Orlando who just so happened to come across handing out the application flyers for the show. I walked over and Kim was like “Weren’t you in that?” Total confusion, I mean, I know I’ve been in a lot of stuff but which exact stuff was she talking about? “Trash 2 Trends!” “Oh yeah! I did that last year.” The sweet City of Orlando lady asked which design I did, I described it to her and as my eyes made their way down on the counter, I noticed it was right in front of me. “That’s mine!” I pointed to the design and in all honesty. I thought I was the bees knees. Kim gave her proud store Mama spiel (of course) as it was taking all of me not to completely show off. My Mama always taught me to stay humble, but man! I wanted to show the whole world! Sweet City of Orlando Lady was all like “Your design is all over Orlando girl!” and my heart you guys. All I gotta say is, what an amazing feeling. Thank you Trash 2 Trends and The City of Orlando for noticing my work! *insert heart emoji here
